Sometimes a fertility treatment does not work on the first try and we understand that you need time to recover physically and emotionally. But do not give up! Consider the following options:
This is not about what you did right or wrong. In a fertility clinic, we always work to make sure you have a successful pregnancy, but we also have to be honest: you do not always get pregnant on the first try.
At Citmer, we understand that trying several times without success is discouraging. That is why we developed the Citmer Research Center, focused on improving the success of our procedures.
There are four main reasons why it may not work on the first attempt:
A failed attempt at In Vitro Fertilization or Timed Coitus does not mean you should give up your dream of having a baby. If you persist in several attempts to achieve that dream, the chances of achieving it are over 90%
Re-evaluate your options and make sure you are happy with:
Ask your specialist what he or she thinks about what happened and what is next. Also discuss how you and your partner can help make it through the next try – the most important thing is to keep a positive attitude and be persistent!
Also check to see if your fertility clinic has a plan that will ensure you see your baby born or give you a return on your investment if you do not. Some clinics in Mexico already offer this.
Was your last treatment not successful? At Citmer we want to help you. Consult our specialists to choose the method that best suits your needs.
